so I'm heading over to NYU next week for the On-Campus Admitted Students Reception and I was wondering if anyone knows if we get to see the dorms there. I've seen pictures of the dorms but actually stepping into them would help a lot for housing decisions.

Are you referring to Weekend on the Square? If so, then that actually took place this weekend. Anyway, some of the dorms were open to all newly admitted students. Current freshman students provided group tours through each of these residence halls.

I attended yesterday’s orientation for admitted students, and I toured both Hayden and Third North. Hayden has a homier feel to it, and is conveniently close to the main campus. However, I really liked Third North because it includes apartment-style living (meaning you get your own common room and kitchen). It also seems to have more to offer than Hayden, because it has a courtyard, coffee house, etc. Founders Hall seemed very nice too (it’s just around the corner form Third North), but they unfortunately did not offer tours through this residence hall.

no, i mean the receptions occurring in the next few weeks through the end of april

did you get to see the suites (the ones with multiple people living in them, not the shared one for 2)?

The tours were yesterday. Loved Hayden and Rubin. They both had a home feeling, and weren’t far from Washington Square. I didn’t like 3N though, and I wish they offered tours at Founders.
