housing transfer req

hey, so i just received my housing request and I'm really dissapointed in it. anyone know if I'm able to transfer out to another building?

u did? are u a transfer student ? and i dont think u can if u are a transfer

yeah, i’m a transfer student. that really sucks and bums me out because i’m really not into the place i was assigned… :(

you can call housing and really try, but if you are where i think you are (26th?) then you’re probably stuck.

Where were you placed? Also, how did you receive the news? The housing website has been down for me for the past couple of days.

I found a loophole. Go into Albert > Bursar > Account Summary
It should show you a charge, and the dorm you are assigned to. :)

I’m not @ 26th, so I guess it could be worse. But the truth is I really wanted Greenwich bad, and I’m not a fan of Lafayette.

@liberate

the housing website will probably go up this week, because we’re supposed to find out our roommates.

haha im in lafeyette too. I wanted the hotel as well lol but im happy with lafeyette as well ;p

g-ho really isn’t all that nice. the rooms are bigger in lafayette and there’s less of a pest problem.

haha, found out my dorm a couple days ago and I didn’t even get placed in any of the transfer housing choices. I’m in Carlyle Court which I’m so excited about because I hear good things about it… Wonder why I got it though.

Thanks for the tip remy. I just found out I got lafayette as well, was hoping for g hotel.

I’m in Lafayette as well. I’m in a “1-5 bdrm suites-2-6 students” dorm, what are the odds I’m in my own room?

looks like a lot of us are in laf.

For a “1-5 bdrm suites-2-6 students” – if a single bedroom exists, how do you determine who gets it? For example, if it’s a 3 bedroom, 4 student dorm?

luck of the draw i guess. maybe an RA?

cross your fingers. you’ll find out tomorrow.

If your bill for Laf is unusually big, then you’re probably in the single. if it’s around 6500k, then your most likely in a double. this is just my guess though…

I got east seventh street. Did anyone else get that?

“Housing-East 2nd Street $ 6,554.00”

Does this mean I don’t have a roommate? That is bloody expensive for one semester…

I think that’s with a roommate. to my knowledge, singles run around 10k +

Also, 2nd Street has the best location out of all the transfer dorms.
