<p>When will I hear back from the school? How should I prepare? Do I need $ upfront? </p>

<p>For your first question:
“The deadline to apply for Housing for New Incoming Transfer students is June 1st. If you apply by June 1st, you will receive an email via your UCSD email address with detailed instructions on the Housing Contract process. Be sure to check your UCSD email often as all communication is sent there. If you are New Transfer and did not apply by the June 1st deadline, please add yourself to our Interest List. If you applied for Housing by June 1, you will be contacted via your UCSD email address beginning June 7th. We will email instructions on how to complete the 4-step Housing Contract process. Be sure to act quickly when you receive the email, as Housing Contracts are recorded in the order received. Spaces are chosen on a first come, first serve basis.”</p>
<p>For the question regarding money:
"In order to complete the Housing Contract, you must make a prepayment of $650. This is not a deposit. It is calculated as part of your total Housing expense. You must submit the prepayment as well as complete the other steps in the Housing process in order to choose a space. (See the Application Process above)</p>
<p>Please note that Financial aid cannot be used to pay for your prepayment. For students who participated in Room Selection during the spring, please note that your deferred $650 prepayment will become due in August.</p>
<p>When you complete your Personal History Form (PHF) as part of the Housing Contract process, you will be asked to choose a payment plan for your Housing & Dining costs. The options are Monthly, Quarterly, or Paid in Full.</p>
<p>If you are on Financial Aid, it is recommended that you choose the Quarterly Plan as Financial Aid awards are disbursed quarterly."</p>
