Hi,

I was recently withdrawn from Stony Brook, due to academic suspension, and was re-accepted admission shortly after I turned in my appeal. However, during this time, my housing plan was canceled (I paid my room deposit during the spring 2014 semester), and I was never notified about this. I feel as if I could have debated the cancellation and kept the room, if I was able to argue that they should not take away my housing plan unless my appeal had been denied. I recently found out that I would not have a room for the 2014-2015 semester (I e-mailed the school because I never had any notification of whether or not I still had my housing plan), and I am now #250 on both singles and doubles for dorming wait lists. If there can be nothing done about my situation, is it possible to have the school reach out to students and inform them that they have lost their housing? I live fairly far away from Stony Brook, but I will be commuting as a full-time student, and hopefully the wait list works out.

Thank you for your time!
