Alright my friend and I have both decided to go to UCLA. We want to be roommates and know that a triple is inevitable. Our main question is... what is the best way to have a chance at being roommates living in a plaza? We went on a UCLA housing tour, and it seems like the majority of the people we saw there, like us, like the plazas more than the halls. It seems like if you want a shot at living in the plazas you are going to have to make that your first priority on the application. I have not seen the application, but I have heard quite a bit about it. I guess you prioritize roommates, housing style, and theme (not sure about last one). We want to be roommates, but we are afraid that making roommates #1 will make them make us roommates in a res hall, since making it #1 is like saying being roommates is more important.

Do you guys have any experience in wanting something similar? How did you guys approach it? Would it be smart to make housing style (plaza) #1, and roommates #2? Maybe they always put roommates together, so it won't matter to leave it as #2? Do you guys know anyone who has been stripped of their desired roommate? Was it because they made it 2nd priority?

Or how about this last one... haha... what if one of us makes roommates #1 and housing style #2, and the other one switched it... Anyone tried that ;]?

Haha... I'm going insane ;]. What do you guys suggest? Thanks! =]!
