Housing YAY

I got my housing info today. I got an email telling me to check the student link. I believe the 8th floor, C tower, in Warren. Cool.

The Towers East. I don't know whether it is good or bad...

Yeah I'm not sure whether that good or bad.

http://www.bu.edu/union/backdoor/warren/index.html

I'm in Shelton Hall. Five other guys, 3 roommates and 2 suitmates. SMG floor, or so I assume. Not exactly what I expected/wanted, but I'm sure it'll be a fun experience...

-The Shelton Coot66

Well I guess I need curtains.

Dont' worry about curtains. The rooms all have them.

Oh an coot, I lived on the SMG floor in Shelton my sophomore year. It's a bit quieter, but it's really nice. And freshmen in general will be more open, so you'll meet the other freshmen on the floor, it just won't be as jumpin as Warren towers lol

I was joking. The website said this:

Students in B Tower, -14 through -22 of A, and -00 through -13 of C are warned to close their curtains.

I guess that means that its easy to see in?

hey i got into a quad in warren... does anyone know if thats good, or bad? i mean 3 ppl with me is kinda cool, im only afraid about space...anyone have any info??

i'm in c tower of warren too...com floor, whoooo.

lukeaa - i think those are the rooms that are facing the other tower

haha well if youre in any of the rooms that were listed above then you will see everyone in the tower across within a 7 floor range. its fun sometimes to wave to other people or shine flashlights into the window. as for the warren quads, there's a set of bunk beds and 2 loft beds with a desk underneath each of the loft beds. for the people in the bunk beds there are 2 desks in the middle of the room. theres also 4 closets in the room. sorry to disappoint you but it's insanely crowded in the quads. you'll wanna live in the common room. for those of you who were lucky enough to get a room that ends in -10 or -15, congratulations! you got a corner double! which means youre living in a quad sized room with only one other roommate, and the space is tremendous. is anyone living near 192 bay state??

Hmm, got 37-39 Carlton Street

Is there room to fit a microfridge in the quads?

you can definately fit a microfridge in, but just know that with the microfridge, and then a tv (most people bring one), its gonna be cramped. its gonna be great for making friends but tough for privacy.

is it -10 and -15 or -11 and -15 that have large doubles...because the bu backdoor site says -11 I think?

grr this quad thing is going to be an experience then. lol it seems like i have awesome roomies though, so i guess im just gonna tough it out... im only angry cuz the dorm next to me is a corner double. so same room, twice the space, half the ppl. lol

Uhm. You can rearrange the furniture in the quads. My advice is to put it all around the room. There will be two lofts and the desks can fit under them. It's hard to explain but it's what I did last year. We didn't do it until about a month in the semester. It was basically when we couldn't stand the crappy arrangement of the furniture.

So yeah. That's the upside of the quad, you can rearrange it to make it better.

ohh thats awesome. yea im actually not minding the quad idea. i have cool ppl to dorm with, and i wasnt expecting much room my first year anyways. so i dunno, i think im gonna like the quad. and the fact that the furniture can move is def. a plus

yeah I liked it cuz I'm an organizational freak. I liked measuring the furniture and figuring out the most efficiant use of space. It turned out awesomely. Especially since two of the girls moved out halfway through the year. So it became a double.
