Housing

I’m filling out the housing preference form right now and have no idea about any of the dorms. Can anyone tell me about the differences between Main Campus, East Campus, Pembroke Campus, Keeney Quad, and Wriston Quad? If I’m a transfer student looking to meet people, which would be best? Thanks so much!

Main campus: you’re right on the main quad - easy access to things. Issues: it can get loud, and there aren’t that many dorms right on the main quad.

East campus: great people, mostly suite-style living, but far from most things.

Pembroke campus: you have the V-Dub cafeteria and all the great Pembroke people, but again it’s further to walk to classes.

Keeney: basically just freshman and their RCs live here - I wouldn’t want to live here if I weren’t a freshman.

Wriston quad: mostly where the frats are, but I guess there’s some other housing as well. Hugely social party scene.

It really depends on what you’re trying to get out of your experience and what you prefer. I can definitely help you out further if you want to give me more information about yourself. PM or reply here!

Ah thank you!! I think I’m going to try for Main or East Campus.

We must be part of the same transfer class!
I was debating whether to fill out the form; I don’t want my preference in housing to get me housed away from my fellow Spring transfers, thereby causing me problems in terms of making friends.

Congrats for your transfer acceptance, guys! I assure you you’ll be able to make friends wherever you live. People here tend to be really friendly.
