Sexy...............

esquared u think evthing is sexy.
i think you are.

Thats sexy you think that i think things are sexy.

communial bathrooms aren't that bad. i live in a dorm with 60 girls, and the only bummer is having to wait for a shower.

Are the non-communal bathrooms bad? Do the bathrooms in Max P, for instance, get really gross?

it probably depends on your hygenic habits and those of your roommate.

I looked at the information for the dorms. I really want to live in Max Pav because I've been in there over the summer, and though the outside is absolutely HIDEOUS, the inside is surprisingly comfortable, if a little small. But then again, it's a quad, with two doubles, and a private bathroom and a small front room. Overall, it's not bad. Plus, it's got character...sort of.

B-J is my favorite by far, going by my own criteria. I want a double as a freshman.

From seeing pictures, I think Id like to live in Snell-Hitchcock, but I know Ill never get in there. I definitely want a double, though. I dont think I could deal with living alone after living with a roommate for the past four years.

I'm Broadviewing it with a single and private bath, baby. Who cares about a mile walk to campus! Instead of gaining, I'll be losing that freshman fifteen!

i chose pierce bc of its small room and tight community feel (from what i've read about other ppl's experiences)
my friend suggested shoreland/broadview but im too lazy to live that far off campus. :p

(Singles only) Preference is...
Shoreland
Snell-Hitchcock
(both of those will probably not happen)
Broadview
B-J (maybe)

Yes, I want Snell because of the singles. I also like the size of the rooms, as they aren't closets.

Kath: Do you know if every dorm has cable in the rooms? I assume Internet is standard, but cable is needed.

Breck is also somewhere I am considering.

neverborn-

I have no idea about cable; sorry. And of course there is wireless internet throughout the campus. That makes me wonder if my house is in that area; it should be, based on its location.

By the way, third choice is Breck (my first and second are Snell and Hitchcock, but they could count as one; I seperated them on the housing sheet to drive my point home). My mom likes the single sex floors at there. :)

Off topic: I know (well, kind of knew, as she is older than I am) someone who attends IIT. She is a junior studying architecture there. She went to my dance school when I was there (since then, I have quit), and I believe she still participates in the youth ballet company associated with it.

Who's the girl? Snitchcock, Breck, Broadview, Blackstone, Shoreland(singles ONLY) for me.

neverborn-
I will PM you.

Overall I have been told some things from Uchicago freshmen as well as people working at housing. Dorm double the first year. Thing is, if you are an RD you can consider yourself out of singles anyhow, but most of all you should definately feel how living with someone else. Being social is a huge part of UofC especially during orientation which is pretty much devoted to this task. If you are worried about getting a dirty roomate, etc. I can tell you that practically everyone who filled their roomate survey before May 1st was amazed by how they matched with their roomate.

Hopefully a transfer student status will get me a lock on a single SOMEWHERE. Random roommates suckl

Neverborn-

I completely understand you wnating a single. I really, really feel like I need one, and I sent in my housing form early, so, with hope, I will get one.

Then again, I suppose even having a roomate is better than living at home.

For everyone who want to live in Shoreland: I must say that it looks like a castle. It is huge - although it is not kept up extremely well. Perhaps that is because they will be selling it soon. . .
