where is the best housing?

off campus.

failing that, the north residential area, which they're opening in september. it'll cost $1000/month by the time you get to live there, though.

as far as dorms, none of them are really known as the best, but from what i hear, most people agree that sylvan is the worst.

depends on what you're looking for. all of the areas have their little stereotypes. Sylvan is the outcast area, as it it in the middle of nowhere... Northeast is dubbed the Asian area (racist I know)... Central is hippie area (i like there and am not a hippie...i enjoy the trees and the pretty dorms)... Orchard Hill is the nerdy area... and Southwest is the party area (especially in the towers).

Personally, the nicest areas are Orchard Hill and Central. There are the most picturesque and have lots of green. If you're looking for a more urban feel, go to SW

Is it possible to submit housing requests before orientation? I'm going to be gone for all of the summer orientation dates except the last one :T I'll probably get all the crappy classes too... >.<

Also, how does roommate selection work?
