So someone told me that freshmen are not guaranteed housing. Is there a problem with OOS students not getting housing?
that's like my worst fear since I don't know anyone else attending UW. :P

I am almost 100% sure freshman at all colleges and universities across the country are GUARANTEED housing. You should check with an admissions officer to make sure.

hmm. i believe i saw it on the website somewhere, but i may be mistaken. ill post if i find the link again

Housing for freshman is guaranteed at the UW, I do not believe they can force you to leave unless you do not pay them for the housing costs of course.

Otherwise, many of the freshman also choose, I repeat choose, to live off campus. But the majority stays.

oh cool, thats good to hear. thanks so much!

When exactly are we supposed to put in housing applications? Is it after May 1?

What dorm do you guys think will have the best social atmosphere for freshman?

I’m not sure which dorm is the best, but McMahon is the worst if you’re looking for a social dorm. I hear Haggett has a pretty nice lounge and all the West campus dorms have at least one lounge per floor.
