Housing

Pardee's a good choice. I put it as 2nd, after Birnkrant. Judging by the 360 degree camera thing, the desk is kind of squished, but otherwise I don't see anything wrong with it.

I don't know, but judging from the 360 degree camera, Pardee looks like the most comfortable dorm to me. It looks a bit larger than the New/North dorms. It actually looks prefect to me.

The most uncomfortable is Marks Hall....oh my GOD!

What about the Radisson? how is it?

The Radisson camera doesn't work for me.

Pardee's desk turns me off. You have to share that measly thing with your roommate, and there's hardly enough room for a computer, I think.

There is no Radisson camera I think, probably because its a hotel......but I hear the Radisson is very uncomfortable because it's too far, and only the late housing applications end up @ the Radisson.

The Radisson is definitely NOT too far...it's right across the street from Marks Hall/Marks Tower! And I have friends there who seem to love it; they do have the largest rooms of any dorm.

is parkside really inconviniently located?

is anyone planning on staying there??

Well, it's kind of far from the main academic bldgs like Taper and VKC (GFS is nearby though). But seriously, it's really only a 10-12 min walk to those bldgs.

so it isnt essential for me to get a bike right?

The campus really isn't that big. A bike would be nice, but not a necessity.

Anyone know when we get our housing assignments? I sent mine in a month ago...

Fluor
Parkside
Birnkrant
and Pardee

Misoobishi, you get your room and bldg assignment in the beginning of June. But you won't get your roommate's name and address until the end of July.

Oh okay! Thanks :)

Redski, I remmember the "Living in USC" boolet very well, I've read it several times, and it says housing assingments are mid-May and Roomate info is early August.

Maybe since you're 2009 they changed the dates this year, I don't know....

Marks Hall
2,3,4... eh, doesn't matter, I really want Marks

Did anyone else pick Marks Hall?

nachontondi1, they do change stuff every year, so you could be right.

New

Fluor

I put the Radisson in there because it does sound really sweet ^^ It might be less social but I'm certainly no party animal so I guess it won't matter all that much.

well from how I understood it, they mail the first building assignments but not room number in mid may. If you don't like it you can try and switch but you dont find out roommate and stuff till much later. I might be wrong though

^ No, you're right on the nose. You won't get the room number until move-in day itself.
