<p>I sent mine in early/mid-March, so I can't remember exactly what I put, but it was something like...</p>

<p>There was more, but from what I've read, it probably won't get past 3 (or 4, I might have put Fluor 3rd and Radisson 4th now that I think about it) especially considering how early I sent it in. I mainly want New's Cinema Floor.</p>
<p>I put Parkside and Flour as my top two choices, but I'm reconsidering that now based off of what people have said about dorms on this board.</p>
<p>I put Parkside as my top choice...dosent seem like many people chose it tho :( ...new/north seem much more social ! grrr...</p>
<p>Shirobot: I asked for the cinema floor too but I sent mine just a week ago so i think I'm f....ed. Being in France it took forever to receive the papers I hope maybe I'll still get a chance.... do you know anyone there? It sounds awesome especially that Ed Wood festival.</p>
<p>Anyway my main concern is that I get a nice white wall in my dormroom since I will be bringing my videoprojector ahahah</p>
<p>That sucks... It's still possible that you get it; I haven't seen many people around here going for Cinema Floor. I don't know how many people they put there, though. As for knowing anyone there, nope. I actually don't know anyone at USC. I'm in PA, so it isn't very common for people in this area to even apply (I think I'm the first at my school in years)... Although I'm sure that's "worse" in France! I mainly just went for the Cinema Floor because it sounded really interesting, like that Ed Wood thing, and I heard (there was a post here about it a while ago) that it's a pretty great "community." Do you know anyone there who recommends it?</p>
<p>nope can't say I do. Just like you I thought it sounded really interested which is why i'm trying to go there. Who know's....
Anyway there's a girl who will also be coming from Paris who I didn't know. USC's a pretty popular spot ^^</p>
<p>New/North and Birnkrant are all located very close to the most used locations (main academic buildings, library, cafeteria, etc). Both are fairly social buildings, but New/North tends to be a noisier dorm, where as Birnkrant has quite hours that are pretty well inforced. People will buckle down and study. I currently live in Birnkrant and I definitely recommend it.</p>
<p>What's in the gym and music room at Birnkrant? I wanted to look inside, but no one was there to open the door for us.</p>

<p>Pardee is nice. I put Pardee as my second.</p>
<p>We spoke with a USC grad who lived in Pardee & LOVED it. Based on his rec, my son listed it as his 1st choice too. The grad said if he were to do it again, he'd still list Pardee as his 1st choice & he was VERY happy there. Who knows what folks will actually get anyway & the entire USC campus is fairly compact so folks can & do socialize no matter which dorm they happen to live in.</p>
<p>is New as bad as they say around here that it's always loud and its hard to study in your dorm? i understand i could just hop on over to Leavey, but in general as an engineer (who has to keep a 3.0), i'm not so sure its a good idea to be in a partyish building. that's not to say i dont wanna have fun, i do, but still...</p>
<p>i put Birnkrant first, but seeing how it is here, i doubt i'll be able to get it. i then put New on Cinema...also, if i dont get into Cinema, will they stick me in New anyways?</p>

<p>has anyone received their housing assignments yet? i'm starting to get a little worried i'm not getting assigned (i did send my housing request a little late, but the postcard they sent confirming that they received it said they got it on April 25). i thought i saw somewhere they'd like for you to send in the contract and confirmation by May 20-something...</p>

<p>Pardee's not bad at all. Flour's awesome. Do not, whatever you do, put down Marks Tower! I lived there freshman year- the rooms are easily the smallest on campus, and it's not like they're cheaper to compensate or anything. Plus there's this trash chute that connects all the floors that always used to back up. I lived on the 7th floor, and sometimes it would be backed up all the way to there. Put down pretty much any other dorm before Marks.</p>
<p>The new Parkside (IRC) is really nice as well.</p>
<p>Oh, and the Radisson is not anti-social at all. They always have really great parties over there. = )</p>
