Housing?

Well, I'm in. Now I need to decide where to live for the next couple of years. I'm leaning towards the residential halls, but I'm not sure which one is the best. Any advice?

Read the Res Halls web pages, including the booklet. There is so much diversity- lakeshore /southeast, old/new, highrise/low, campus location, specialty houses... The food is all a la carte, good taste/choices, no minimum food plan purchase, many times/options. Add a room refrigerator, all utilities except long distance phone calls, high speed internet, cable tv, bathrooms cleaned by someone else, bring your microwave, etc.- cheaper than private dorms. On campus-closer to classes... The best dorm is the one that suits you, your idea of perfect can be someone else's last choice. Unless you get lucky you won't get your first choice so be sure to be prepared to like several dorms. There are pros and cons to each dorm- you can be happy in any of them...
