Housing

How hard is it for incoming freshman to get single room?

It depends on which college you will be in. They vary from college to college because some have an over enrollment of students while some don't. So for the ones without much enrollment, you're more likely to get a single. Like me.

I got a single too, I'm in Sixth Apartments.

I turned in my housing application the day it was available to me. As long as you turn in your housing application at the earliest possible time, you should have a good chance at getting a single.

^--- Bingo. Turn in your housing application the very first day turn-in is open, and you’ll have a good chance at getting a single. I turned mine in a couple weeks late and still got one (I’m in Warren though, which doesn’t have the overcrowding issues of some of the other colleges).

do sophomores have priority to singles in Residence halls?

...I'm a freshman, didn't bother to apply for a single (i have a triple instead) but they asked me in August if I wanted a single because there were so many people who wanted non-singles that they had a bunch of singles leftover. Obviously, I didn't want a single...and instead ended up with 2 roommates intead of one.

I'm in overcrowded Muir btw.
