Housing

I'm pretty sure I'm going to Michigan, but the things I hear about housing are scary (anyone seen the Sister Sister episode? lol). I heard you have no choice in housing except marking north or central/hill campus as a preference. Um, to say the least, that sucks. On top of that, I've heard most of the dorms are ugly, small, LOUD, and have bad cell phone/internet reception (especially for the price OOS kids are paying). True? I know my mom lived in Martha Cooke and loved it, but that was before it cost extra to live there and I don't think that kind of environment is for me, anyway. What kind of bathroom situation is there?

Thanks,
Lindsay

This is college...its going to be different than the house you live in..but you have to get used to it, it's part of the experience. And if it really was that unbearable, why would thousands of college students be living in dorms? Anyways, there are tons of other threads on dorms/housing so just do a search in the forum to find some more info.

oh and if you're concerned about about the dorm being ugly, small and loud..then martha cook is probably the place for you.

even if you don't get the dorm you want, you can get placed on a waiting list for a different dorm or even room swap with someone. don't worry.
