<p>how does housing work for incoming freshmen? Do we get to pick which dorms we want, and do the people who return the reply card earlier get first pick?</p>
<p>Nope. You get assigned a room on East campus. You also can’t request a dorm. If you don’t have a roommate coming in you also more than likely get assigned a roommate. (there are some singles available for freshman and there are some triples)</p>
<p>Also you don’t really get any benefit from returning the card earlier than everyone else other than the knowledge that you are for sure going to matriculate at Duke.</p>
