Housing

Hi, I am transfering as a third year student, and am in the process of applying for housing. I am hoping to live in Lambeth, but know it will be difficult to get. Can anyone tell me anything about Copely 3 and Faulkner and how they may compare to Gooch/Dillard? I have been to see all three and didn't really care for their locations, and have heard some bad things about Gooch. Nevertheless, I have to rank them on the application and have no idea which is best for a second choice...

off-topic (sorry to sabotage your thread), but does anyone know where the Housing office is? I thought it was just past the Physics building west of Emmett St. on McCormick but when I got there the door was locked as though it was a private residence.

Tennis: I would put Lambeth, Gooch/Dillard, Copely, Faulkner, in that order. Faulkner is VERY far, and Copely they try to put undergrads as close to Central Grounds as they can. But G/D is better than either choice, it's just way closer. Also, try HooHasIt.com and UVA housing & apartments, UVA textbooks, and UVA events and watch for possible Lambeth contracts.

Vicente:Try either Page or I think it was Emmet House. Emmet house is if you're looking at the Physics building, immediately to your left is a L shaped dorm in Old Dorms. Emmet is the one that has a door connected to the parking lot right there. You could try calling them too, I think they hand over all housing stuff to the summer-conference people in Page. Why do you need to visit them?

thanks Shoebox that helps a lot!

thanks shoebox10, I found them. I applied for housing and wanted to ask them a few questions. apparently it will be a while until we hear back from them. I hope I get a place especially since I'm not a first year student.
