The East Wheelock cluster seems too good to be true.
Spacious rooms and a bunch of suites and singles with full private bathrooms.
Is this available to freshmen?
And how likely is a freshman to get this?

First congrats on your (I assume) acceptance. Wheelock is as good as it sounds, its by far the one of the best quality dorm we have on campus. It is very open to freshman, but you do have to apply. There are a good amount of kids who get in and really like it there. It is kind of far from the green (Which really isnt that far) but i mean in regards to rooms its top notch compared to Choates and River.

come to dimensions and see for your self!

Freshmen are very likely to get E Wheelock if they ask for it. Some freshmen were put there this year who didn’t want it.

How many singles are there with full bathrooms? And can freshmen get those ones?

East Wheelock is really nice facility-wise but keep in mind it’s definitely not for everyone. It seen sometimes as the less social dorm, but that said, I also have friends there who are really cool. It’s pretty far from the main part of campus, frat row, etc, but it’s literally across the street from the gym so that’s a plus.

^That’s fine with me, and the campus seems small enough that the distance shouldn’t be a huge problem.
I heard something about how you have to write an essay to be considered for housing there… do you know about that?

yes you have to write an essay, but most people who apply get in since they have more space than people apply for. although make sure you turn it in on time because I know someone who turned theirs in late and was placed somewhere else while people who did not want EW still got in.

East Wheelock does not have singles with private bathrooms.

Most of the rooms are quads (3 rooms with a bath), there are suites with 4 or 5 singles and they all share a bath, there are also singles have a bath in the middle, so you are sharing a bath with the person on the other side.

EW floor plan

^That still sounds really good
But what about room 309, Andres floor 3?

Also how do the 3 rooms of the quads break down? 2 doubles and a living room, or 1 double and 2 singles?

A 3 room quad breaks down into 2 double bedrooms, a living space and a bath.
