Hi! Does anyone know when students will find out rooms/roommates? I think I heard July-ish, but does anyone know for sure? Thanks!

I think it’ll be around July 16-17.

Will I find out my residence hall (dorm) assignment during SLU 101?
The Department of Housing and Residence Life will mail out housing assignments after the last SLU 101 in July.

Here’s the SLU 101 dates:

Just got back from SLU 101 and the housing director said that they intentionally wait for roommate assignments until mid July because kids quickly form friendships at SLU 101
and often want to request their new friends as roommates after attending. They were having to go back and make too many changes, so now they wait until July.

SLU 101 was great and very informative.

Do you know if you need to bring an area rug for the rooms? Also, can the beds be bunked or lofted in Clemens or Griesdeck? Looking at the floor plans it seems like it would help a lot, but I wasn’t sure what the rules are/were! Thanks!

I was told that an area rug is a great idea, kind of warms up the room. Also, it is possible to have the beds lofted, you request that service from the University. Have you been to SLU 101 yet Irishcali?

If you log in to mySLU, click on the Students tab, and go to Update Addresses and Phones, you can see your housing information. I was told that we will find out our roommates on July 10.
Does anybody know how to see what Learning Community and FIG you’re in?
