housing

if you want a high school friend t be your roommate is it common that they will be roomed together? or just luck?

I’m 99% sure that your school policy mandates that you both must mutually request each other in order to be intentionally placed together. Anything other than that is coincidence.

It varies from school to school, but many do accept roommate requests, as long as each roommate requests the other one.

Before you room with a freind from highschool, make sure you think about it alot. Sometimes it can turn out to be a bad idea and ruin your friendship. Also, rooming with a random student is sometimes the better way to go because it forces you to meet your new roomate as well as many of thier freinds and the friends they meet while at college and it allows you to meet many more people while going to school. Take a look at this article, its really helpful, [Housing | CollegeRemedy](http://collegeremedy.com/collegehelp/category/housing/) . Good Luck!

I’m a freshman and I’m rooming with a friend from my high school. We are a lot alike, but different enough that I won’t go crazy. We also don’t mind a mess in our room, stay up late, are into theater, want to go into health care and are outgoing so we can easily be independent from each other. I’ll update throughout the semester on how it’s going.
