Housing

Currently I'm a Bridge student and for my sophomore year at Clemson I'm planning on living on campus since I really didn't get that typical "freshmen year experience."

I'm really torn between where I should live.
What I had in mind was either Calhoun Courts or the Stadium Suites. And possibly Clemson House, but that's going to be all freshman housing starting fall 2010 so I don't think I would have a high chance of being placed there.

I've heard all those places were really nice. But Calhoun Courts seems a bit further from everything. I don't mind walking, but how's the atmosphere there?

And how would you rank the Stadium Suites?

You should apply for housing ASAP if you want on-campus housing. Anyways, I’m a freshman and I got put in overflow in Calhoun Courts. I don’t think you can even apply for Clemson House housing this year unless you want to apply to be in the Civics & Service House program (community service program). Calhoun Courts is a walk from everything but it’s closer to stuff than Lightsey Bridge I and II or Thornhill Village. I think Stadium Suites is the hardest to get into and wouldn’t be surprised if it was full already. Take a look at McCabe? It’s right down the street from Stadium Suites and has the same suite-style living style as Stadium Suites. If you don’t mind a farther walk and there’s still room available, Lightsey Bridge II is the nicest apartment complex but it’s farther than Calhoun Courts. But really, the walk from Calhoun Courts isn’t bad if you don’t get Stadium Suites. If you want the “freshman year experience”, I would pick Stadium Suites or McCabe.
