<li><p>Is it possible to get a single? Because I really really REALLY want a single.</p></li>

<p>I think single requests are made on the online housing application which pre-froshes fill out in May (June maybe?).</p>
<p>Just be warned though, quality of singles can vary widely even within the same dorm despite them costing the same (1.5 times the cost of a double I think?). I lived in Aycock freshmen year. The guy across from me was in a single, and it was literally twice the size of my walk in closet at home (and my closet is not large). He couldn’t even use his desk extender if he wanted to fit his chair in the room and if he was sitting at his desk, you’d need to crawl over him to get into his room. But, the girl down the hall from me lived in a room that literally used to be a double and was probably on par with the size of my double room. They both paid the same. So just a caveat emptor.</p>
