How about my chances?

Ok, I posted another thread, but it was a novel and Im just gonna delete that and put cliffs notes here:
I applied to UCLA and UCSB for Business Econ, and UCSD forManagement Sci.
Overall GPA: 2.9
CCC GPA (w/ 31 units- all uc Trans): 3.9
CU Boulder GPA (w/ ~ 50 units- I dont know what will transfer. I have several F's that I retook courses for, however that school did not count them as retakes. Multiple F's still play) GPA: 2.25

I will have IGETC completed by the time of transfer.

EC's/ Comm service:
Lead math tutor at elementary school
Food packing at San Diego Food bank
Various work at Cleaner San Diego
Phi Theta Kappa @ my CCC.

Work Exp:
Only exp. I have is part time Dental Assistant for my father during emergency night cases.

My grades were horrible at first (freshman year was pretty much all F's, then decent (b's, c's and W's) , and my last semester at Colorado I got 3 A's and a B+
Then I came home, and got 2 A's I'm summer, and 5 A's in fall at my CCC. I had also come home for a year during my time at CU and went to my CCC during that time as well, so thats how I have 31 units at my CCC. I got one decent semester during this time with an A, 2 Bs and a W. Next semester got hurt dirt biking and got all W's because of surgery. Then I realized my ways and went back to CU, and am now home again... I also included kind of a summary of this in my apps.

Any input on chances would help. I know it all comes down to what I get in the mail, but this seems like a common thing on here so let me hear what you have to say.... Thanks!
Edit: For some reason I cant delete my other post, so I apologize for cluttering the forum.

Well, they do care about upward trends. But you have somewhat of a upward trend.

For UCLA: reach
UCSD: match
UCSB: match

I don't know whether your description of your surgery will incite any sympathy due to the fact that you could have filed for incompletes( these happen during medical emergencies) that semester. An incomplete stays on your record until you retake the course/courses for a grade. That grade would have replaced the incomplete.

Two more quick questions:
-In my essay, I said that I wanted to do business economics, but UCSD doesnt have that. I applied for management science there, with econ being my second choice... Do you think writing about a different, but similar major will hurt my chances?

-Also, On my app. I made two mistakes. I accidentally put that I got an A+ in a class at my CCC and this CCC doesnt have +'s or -'s.
AND where I listed my community service, I miss read it and put for each one that I have been doing it for 4 years, when it should be one year. ( I thought it meant how many years post high school did you do it... as in when did I do it, because that is what a different app wanted)

Should I send them a letter correcting these? I already talked to a transfer counselor at my CCC and he said not to worry about it... that they are used to seeing mistakes, but I don't want to let it go if it could play a negative roll. And maybe they will understand I want to go their if they see that I am reviewing and correcting my app. ? what do you guys think?

I thought you didn't have to write an essay transferring "after" sophmore year

-you are 2nd year right?

Personal statement rather. My bad.

whats that?

Its a personal statement.... Just something you write about yourself and your intentions to turn in with the application.

Your in san diego, did you sign the TAG?

No, I couldn't do TAG because I would have had too many units. I also don't have very much of my pre reqs done. I'm taking my transferable math for IGETC right now, but it doesn't count towards my major at UCSD.
Does anyone think I should send them a note correcting my mistakes, or do you think my counselor is correct in that they wont really care. Maybe if I dont get in I can use that to appeal (correcting my mistakes) and then send in my rec letters and a new statement asking them to re-evaluate as well... (lol, I am already looking into the appeal process)
