How about some chances please :)

Just about hardest schedule I can take here (will have about 7 aps when done)

ECs:
Top band 4 years, top jazz 4 years, pit band 4 years, marching band section leader, maybe drum major this year, always first chair
Academic team 4 years
president, CS explorer post, also did service work here
German club 3 yrs, president probably this year
will be active in organizing a townwide fine arts festival
national merit commended scholar

CS major

thinking of applying at (with my guess in parenthesis)
UIUC eng (match)
WashU (reach)
Uchicago (reach)
Cornell (high reach)

thanks

i think you have a fairely good chance at wash u and uchicago. if youre not a senior, then you should take a lot of honors credit courses and up your gpa.

i'm a rising senior so I don't really have time to up the gpa. I also forgot about my IT job, which is nice cause it's major related

A caution with UChicago... it's a very intensive liberal arts enivronment, completely different from the engineering environments of UIUC, Cornell, and WashU. Are you looking for that in a school?

(Other schools to consider for CS: Carnegie Mellon, Michigan, Purdue)
