Is anyone here?

no, we are all gone

I'm not an expert on this, but no one else seems to want to answer so....

From what I hear, the difficulty with a math major is that the upper division math courses are extremely abstract and proof-based. They are very different from lower division courses, which are mainly problem solving. Upper division mathematics is a whole different ball game, many students find it extremely challenging.

Engineering, on the other hand, isn't abstract and theoretical, it is practical. So if you do well in lower-division math and physics, you are likely to do well in engineering. However, doing well in lower division math is not really any guarantee at all of success at upper division mathematics.

rider730 you think you are funny but you are not:)
Thanks kenf1234 you actually gave me what I wanted without being a jerk ;)
thanks again.

Hey, you asked if anyone was here as a way of bumping your question until answered. I did you a favor by bumping it again.
