science problems are generally easier than other prep books
but the score chart is deadly...
missing 5 questions = 28... so how accurate are the practice tests?

I just got this book to use for tutoring. Took a run through the first test and I found it pretty good. It is maybe a little on the easier side, but it manages to stay within the concepts that you will see on the ACT, which I think is a good thing - better than Barrons where you will see all sorts of crazy concepts that are beyond anything you will see on the ACT.

Barrons is great for maxing out your score if you score 30+. The reason Barron is hard is because they want to prepare you for anything that may show up on the ACT (though it usually doesn’t).

I found sparknotes to be horrible. I took one of those tests and got a 28 (then again there were a lot of distractions). I got a 33 on the actual ACT… so… not accurate in my opinion. It wasn’t that it was really hard, I don’t think the questions corresponded well with the actual test.
