I so far took English and Reading. Scored 29 and 30 respectively. Thanks.

btw, test 1 math, anyone else have this typo?

I got 8.4 cuz in my book, there is no negative sign for question 16 in the equation…

I really hope this book is accurate…

on last act i got 28/31/27/27

so far I’m averaging about a 30 on reading in this book and i just got a 31 science… if i got those 2 swapped w/ real test, I’d be happy w/ my composite

It’s the most accurate of all supplemental ACT tests (besides the ones provided by the ACT company itself).

It does have millions of typos though; the answer choices also fall out of order constantly.

^Still good for me to hear. If I could get 30+ on Feb act, I’d be happy. I heard some people think that the science in 1296 was harder, though? Seems about the same to me either way, though.

Science is about the same. I got an average of about 33 on PR in the science, then a 36 on the actual test. Scores above about 32 have a great deal of luck to them though.

My son said he just ran out of time on the Science portion. Any one else have that happen?

It used to happen when I took like the Explore and Plan. I’ve noticed that if I don’t understand a question fast enough, I should just move on and get back to it. Usually when I get stumped and return, I notice myself understanding the question better, or I was originally looking at a wrong graph or something.

^^^ ACTNancy:

Do we run out of time on the science sec.? Uh, to answer your question f— yeah! That is actually a very ubiquitous problem with everyone here on CC. Just remember that most of the answers are in the data- spend more time there.

You should probably get the PR Cracking the ACT, it explains how to do the problems. I thought I could just get the 1296 and ‘figure it out’ myself but it’s not that easy. I have to agree with the typos there. Also, some of their problems are really poor in the wording. If you follow the rules they explain to you and understand, then you should do well.

Well I just scored my best score yet on the English Section (33) on Test 2 in 1296 ACT.
Do you think I should score about the same on the real ACT?

I find it easier than the real thing.

Yeah same… well except for the science part…
Are there anymore places to get free real ACT tests? (besides the test you get for registering and the Tests in the red book)
