How accurate is Barron's for AP English Language and Comp?

I recently bought the Barron’s AP English Language and Comp 6th edition, and I did so because it had 6 practice tests. With that being said, I found out that lots and lots of people on CC say that Barron’s Tests are much more difficult than the real test. While it should be good in theory, I want to get an accurate gauge of my abilities. Has anyone taken Barron’s? If so, how close was your Barron’s score to your real AP score?

I haven’t used Barron’s, just REA Crash Course and 5 Steps to a 5, I’m taking the exam this May. I really hope those practices are harder than the real thing, but you’re right–knowing where you’re at is most important. Anyone else have any thoughts?

I like Barron’s AP English Language and Composition book. It corresponds very well with the course content.
