How accurate is "cracking the ACT" ... check out my results

I picked up PR's "Cracking the ACT" about 2 weeks ago. I took the first English practice test and scored a 28 (-10). I scrutinized my answers until i genuinely understood why i got every question right/wrong. I took the second English practice test and scored a 33 (-4).

I just want to know how accurate this book is. I don't want to walk into the test expecting an English score of 31-34 because of these practice tests but walk out disappointed because they weren't realistic. Any thoughts/personal stories with this book?

I would like to know this too, I did a section from the math and I did surprisingly well…

I thought that the PR practice tests were fairly accurate. My average PR scores were like…32/35/28/29 and my real test scores were 32/36/23 (panicked like crazy)/27 (bad luck on the experiments x_x)

All in all, fairly accurate.

I tend to do better on the Princeton review than on the real act practice tests. maybe because I am so used to taking princeton review. The Act is random…so you may do a little worse on it. If i were you I would take a real practice test online or in the real act guide and see how you do. sometimes I feel as if princeton review is harder on the math section…Idk how accurate it is.
