So I kinda wanted to know how accurate this thing is...
maybe you guys could plug in your stats and shout out your opinion.

What are my chances?

What are my chances?

You have to realize that without subjective inputs that this can’t be accurate. What if I’m a recruited athlete or legacy? It only takes into account rank and SAT scores, ergo it can’t be very accurate because other factors do not come into play.

well of course I understand that, but I mean it should be in the right ballpark, right???

To be honest, not very.

I have no confidence in that site.

okay so does it overrate you or underrate you??

Probably both. Sometimes, students with lower scores can have stronger extracurriculars/personal characteristics/essays/recommendations that it does not take into account, and vice versa for students with stronger scores and weaker (etc). The site only takes into account a very small portion of your overall application. It also does not take into account the difficulty of the school when calculating class ranking.

The vast majority of equation-rating websites will give you quite the overestimate. This is why there’s CC: it’s direct from human beings rather than a server that is made to input values and output values.

Most of these guessing websites are more interested in gathering your personal information and selling it then they are in providing an accurate estimate of your chances of attending a particular school
