<p>FSU’s info I think is better. Or at least can be used to supplement ratemyprofessor.</p>
<p>I am learning that ratemyprofessor is easy to manipulate. Profs can click on comments and have them reviewed and easily removed. And TA’s can get their students to all submit favorable reviews with a little bribing. A prof that has hundreds of reviews has info that is not going to be able to be massaged. But since you no longer have to sign in and create an account to rate rumor has it certain profs routinely go in and add random good reviews on themselves.</p>
<p>While SUSSAI gives you a general outline and or ratings, ratemyprofessor allows the students to express their concerns or praise for the professor. :)</p>
<p>I think the general agreement is simple: use both SUSSAI and ratemyprofessor.com, but use them wisely. Don’t base a decision entirely on one source.</p>
<p>its unscientific and to be used with caution however feedback i have heard (i use to work at a college) is that across the board rate my professor can be very useful.</p>
<p>I’ve only disagreed with the ratings on Rate My Professor once. Everyone said the guy was a bad professor, and he turned out to be one of my best professors of the semester.</p>
<p>Don’t trust if there’s 1 or 2 ratings for the teacher, but when you see 50 and they all say the same thing, that’s a good indication that you can trust the general consensus. Many people will say a teacher sucks though just because they got a bad grade… Read the comments, judge for yourself which sound legit, and as alongwait said, take it with a grain of salt. Sometimes, you’ll disagree with what most said.</p>
<p>By the way, I don’t like Sussai, as I feel it’s even more biased than RMP. It’s biased in that:</p>
<ol>
<li>You have to be in attendance on the day they hand it out.</li>
<li>You have to turn it in.</li>
</ol>
<p>Most of the Sussai ratings tend to be positive reviews, unless the professor is so bad, sometimes students use that as their vengeance.</p>
