How advanced is your computer?

What capabilities does your computer have? How much stuff can it hold?

My XP (counterfeit) has 80GB of hard drive and 2GB of RAM. Quad core.

my computer is ****

My computer is 4 years old, ancient, but I built it myself.

Windows XP SP3 (modded) / Knoppix bootcd if i want to use Linux

Pentium 4 HT 3.2c (Northwood) @ 3600mhz

ASUS P4c800-e Deluxe Motherboard

Corsair XMS DDR RAM PC-3700 2x512mb (Dual-Channel'ed)

ATi Radeon 9800pro 256mb DDR2 (flashed with 9800XT firmware)

160GB Seagate Baraccuda SATA 7200rpm

Lite-on DVD-ROM and a DVD+/-R burner

Mitsubishi 19" LCD Monitor / 16ms / 1280x1024

Dual core
2 gigahertz processor
3 gigs ram
8500gt nvidia geforce (512 meg video ram)
32 bit
360 gig HD

I bought it for 600, but it came with a 22" monitor (hp, 1680x1050) so I think it was an ok deal.

Had to get my own video card becase the standard video specs sucked, so I bought like the cheapest one I could find ($50 on amazon) that would still be way better than my previous.

Overall it's pretty decent. I do a bit of casual gaming, and it plays some of the reasonably recent games (orange box, bioshock) on high settings, with maybe 40 fps on average.

I'll upgrade when I get more money.

My HP laptop retains a core 2 duo 1.6 Ghz processor, 1GB of RAM, 80GB of Hard drive, 15.4 inch brightview screen, GeForce Go 7400, integrated 1.3MP webcam, Altec Lansing speakers, integrated mic, the list goes on.

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz

i have a laptop. it says macbook on it. it's black. that's all i know.

Dell Vostro 1000 laptop

1GB Ram
Vista Home Premium
120GB hard drive
AMD Athlon X2

Gets the job done.

@brightred:

Yes, seriously, anybody who only plays games casually (and has a single monitor setup, etc.) really shouldn't spend more than $100 on a graphics card.

I asked for recs on another forum and everyone told me to get $300 9800s+. :(

Thats really dumb, considering the HD 4870 is a better purchase for that price range.

Anyways, newest one:

I got the motherboard and processor for free though.

Mac Mini
80 GB hard drive
LEOPARD!!!
1.83 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
1 GB RAM
Intel GMA 950 graphics processor

Nothing special, but it gets the job done nicely.
