I applied to BU regular decision and if accepted was thinking that’s where I want to go. I’m afraid, however, the tuition costs would be too much for my family to handle. Is BU generous with its financial aid?
Have your parents run the net price calculator to get an idea of what they will give you. Keep in mind it’s not accurate if they own a business.
I think it would have been better if you had applied ED for financial aid. BU is not known to be a giving school. In our case BU wanted a financial statement as international student before they would consider my son for admission. It’s been the case since I went there…
Are you a US citizen or green card holder? If not there is no need based aid at all, you may get merit scholarships though.
If you are a US citizen or green card holder aid depends. If you are Pell eligible and have superior stats you have a good chance at generous aid.
