How am I looking for an acceptance into Clemson University?

I have an accumulative ( weighted) gpa 4.0
My SAT score all together is 1770 (math:580, reading:590, writing:600)
I haven't taken the Act yet, should I?
I'm in the top 20% of my class, have taken AP classes since sophomore year receiving all A's & B's
I also did girls basketball for 3 years and am involved in my schools Student Government Association and Key Club
What do you think?

I’d say you’re a good shot. If I were you, I’d retake the SAT to try to break 1800, just to be sure.

I don’t have that much knowledge about clemson, however, I think you should take the ACT and send the higher score to clemson! Hope you get in and good luck! :)

Thanks for the great advice! I think I’m going to definitely take the ACT in the fall before I apply (:

With your GPA then it’s a very likely chance and you have strong EC’s, just make sure your SAT is not just a one time thing and if you have strong community service then you are a shoe in! Chance back

Thanks. This has been my second time taking the SAT, my first score was a 1550. I plan on taking the ACT too to increase my score hopefully. I will also work on increasing my participation in community service. Thanks again (:

Yeah, since you have a very good GPA, the ACT would be a better choice for you. The ACT actually tests what you learn; it’s not as hard as the SAT as long as you remember what you learned in school.
