How am I looking for these schools? (Currently a junior)

My graduating class seems to be more competitive than this year's. But there shouldn't be too much of a difference

Student Ranking Process

That is the ELC ranking system. According to that I should qualify.

Thanks, I am not at all expecting admission from Stanford, but I am still going to apply. I'd be happy if I get deferred lol. At least I could tell my friends/family that Stanford considered letting me in.

Oh.. and how much would being a national ap scholar before senior year help me (assuming I do get 4s and 5s on all my AP tests)? Only the valedictorian of this year's graduating class got the award before senior year. How highly regarded is the national ap scholar award? Only ~100 juniors in CA (out of ~500 in US) gets the award every year right?

bump (10 char)

well the ap scholar award doesn't matter as much as the colleges already see your scores and can tell that you did well. taking the tests themselves is good, and the ap scholar awards is as good as, well, getting all 4s and 5s on (5?) AP tests.

however, the fact that you're ranked/scoring as high as the (white) people who have gotten into stanford doesn't bode well, as somebody had mentioned, because 1) they're white and you're asian, sorry. :( and 2) as you know, it's REALLY hard to get into a school like stanford, and they really only want the very best since they can afford to be so selective. However, if you really supplement your good stats with stuff like ECs and awards, that will help your application. good luck!

you are pretty much in for the UCs
but for Stanford
youll need some good ECs

Alright thanks guys.
