how and when did you start to prepare for the SAT?

I would love to know when you all started preparing for the SATs. also when did you take your first one? how did you begin to prepare? I am a rising junior and as i dont have a lot to do this summer until july, i wanted to begin to look and review and fun stuff like that.

so yea. feedback would be excellente.

merci

kayla

I took my first SAT in fall of my sophomore year (when it was on the 1600 scale; scored a 1300 with just some vocab prep). Then I the new one in June of Sophomore year, scored 1900 with not really much prep other than looking over a few things. I am a Junior now and will be taking the Reasoning tomorrow (excited!) and started studying 3 weeks before the test, basically doing practice tests and seeing what I did wrong. Nothing too special.

awesome thanks and good luck!

I took Kaplan's SAT Prep course in summer of Sophmore year (right before Junior Year). It was helpful, but not amazing.

Then, right before PSAt (2 days), I studied some vocab.

Then, I slacked off, studied during Holidays (Christmas + New Years), I studied around 3-4 days.

April Vacation (4 days) and then during the last week, I studied every day from when I got home and finished hw until 2 am including the last night :)

I did well, so ....it worked for me?

haha sounds good, i think im going to study this summer, not like crazy but review a little. i have a lot of time on airplanes and stuff too so that will be good.

the only thing im majorly worried about is the math.....my sister got an 770 and a 760 on the english related things and pretty awful on the math and im basically the same way. so. it should be interesting.

best of luck to everyone.
