I took the ACT with special testing at my school (typed writing section) on Sunday the 30th, and was just wondering now that I saw everyone else getting their scores back (I had assumed it takes much longer than this) how do you get your scores back for special testing? Is it online or by mail? How long does it typically take to get your composite score back?
@e4e6d4d5 it is online and by mail. It depends on when your school sent the test back. I called ACT to find out, they told me I should expect the result between 3 to 8 weeks. I think I got the result for one of my kids around 4 weeks after the school sent the test back.
They said that they received the test November 4th when I called, and 2 to 5 weeks from then, is that accurate or did I misunderstand? Also, where will it show up first, online or by mail?
I recalled they told me 3 to 8 weeks from the day they received the test. I am thinking you may be looking into early December or very late November. In my kid’s case, it showed up online and I received in the mail a few days later.
I took my son over 8 weeks to get his composite scores - he took the ACT in Oct 2015 and got scores on early Jan 2016. No idea why it took so long. The writing come pretty quickly.
I am in the same situation! I took it a little later than you but I also took October special testing to type the essay. My test date isn’t showing up either but as long as they received your test I don’t think that’s something to worry about.
In one of the act documents about special testing or scores or something it said that the scores were first sent through mail then posted online but I’m seeing here that some people had the opposite experience.
Lmk when you hear back and how it works out! I’m so anxious to get my scores and it hasn’t even been that long since I took it haha
Today its saying that my ACT web account is unavailable, is this true for everyone because of thanksgiving? Also, anyone else have experience with special testing?
