How and where to get cheaper textbooks?

Here’s an example of one textbook I ordered last year:

[Biology with MasteringBiology™, MasteringBiology Series, Neil A. Campbell, Book - Barnes & Noble](http://search.barnesandnoble.com/Biology-with-Masteringbiology/Neil-A-Campbell/e/9780321543257/?itm=29)

School was listing it at list price (maybe even a little more, I can’t remember now.) B%N already has it discounted, then add the member discount and free shipping. I couldn’t find a used copy at the time to beat the price. (Bear in mind, I was looking at fairly gently used – DD didn’t want a copy all highlighted and beat up.)(

I haven’t used additional coupons, except once and it applied to an entire order that included textbooks – perhaps they didn’t apply it to the textbooks themselves – I don’t remember.

And that’s a great question about the B&N run stores. I don’t have the answer. I doubt the stores discount the way the online store does, though.

Does anyone have any recommendations for the easiest way to resell textbooks? We have a box of books from D’s senior year from HS (last year).

Resell books on half.com. There is no fee to list books and they only take a commission once it’s sold and deposit the funds directly into your bank account. They have excellent information on line about how much people have paid for the same book. Most critical thing is to make sure you post them promptly because some of these books get stale and then won’t sell. If you price reasonably and post quickly you should sell all or almost all of the books.
