Is a 5 on an AP test a 100%? If you miss one question one the exam does that mean you have a 4.

Thanks for the replies...:)

On most tests, a 70% or so on the exam is a 5.

But the tests aren't that easy.

Thanks

Anybody else...

its scaled differently every year

it depends on how well ppl in the particular yr do...

but yes its usually 70% for a 5. its a little different for every test. some tests have more generous curves, i think.

like i took ap bio, & i definitely got a ton wrong. a lot of other ppl said that it was kinda hard this year. i got a ton wrong & didnt finish it & got a 5, so im guessing the curve was very lenient this yr:):):)

So is a 3 50%-60%?

''but yes its usually 70% for a 5. its a little different for every test. some tests have more generous curves, i think.''

Which test have tighter curves (for exp: calc...90% or higher is a 5)

calc doesn't have that curve..........lol

traditionally calc and bio have easier curves
(50~60% may mean a 5)

and other tests such as English Language have tighter ones..
but pretty much the scores are based on how well the general population does on the exam - if more do well, then the curve is tighter, and vice versa.

@stephen: Its just and example it is not true and i repeat NOT TRUE!!!

sorry ap bio was my first ap. but i think calc is a harder ap...

i think the harder aps have more lenient curves...the easier ones have tighter curves. (human geography, etc)

This thread has all the curves:

Well...for chem, I've heard 67% would give you a 5...and then I've heard 50-60% would give you a 5.
Ohh, i hope it's the latter :p

I know for sure that stats is usually a 68%
