So I took three AP tests this spring: Calc A/B, Lang & Comp, and US History. I know the scores will be mailed mid-July, but do they all come separately? Or, like, will all three scores be in the same envelope? If anyone who's taken multiple AP tests in one year before could answer my question, that'd be great.

This isn't that important I guess, but I'm curious...

Oh, and also, I live in California. Does that make a difference for when the report is supposed to be mailed? If so, when should I expect it?

Yes, all three scores (as well as any others from past years) will be in the report you receive. California and the west coast usually get the score reports first, so it shouldn’t be too long. (Maybe a week or so?)

I also live in California and last year I got them I think around 6th-8th so it should be like again this year which is much sooner than people who receive them on the east coast.

Thanks both of you.
I was considering paying the $8 for the hotline but if I only have another week or so to wait I guess I’ll just try to be patient.

All your AP exams that you have EVER taken will be on the score report. They use a printer to print these. Then they use something called an envelope alongside the postal service to send it to your house.

Oooh, condescension is hilarious. Something else you should know about the printing process is that the College Board has been printing scores 24/7 since they were available. Colleges’ reports are printed and sent first, and then students’ reports are started.

Trevor Packer is head of AP. From his twitter:

“We have to pay a company to provide Scores by Phone. That’s why we’re building our own free, online platform for next year.” (date: July 1st)

“I am really looking forward to online scores for students next year (free); I don’t like the fee for Scores by Phone.” (date: June 28th)

“Grades by Phone charges $8 for your full set of AP scores. I don’t like this fee; scores for students will be online next yr.” (date: June 26th)

They’ll be online, but they’ll still probably mail them…none of his tweets preclude that fact, and they STILL need to use lots of paper to send these reports to colleges.

I can see it now. Me and millions of other students sitting feverishly at the computer next year for hours as the collegeboard servers crash continuously. But it’ll all be worth it.

Hi! I live in Washington State and I just got my scores in today. Though this is the west coast, it still means that everyone who hasn’t gotten their’s yet should get them soon. Good luck to all!!!
