How are business related internships viewed by schools like Cornell AEM...

Just as the thread title suggests I was curious as to how important an internship in a business related field would be to a transfer application to a school like Cornell AEM.

Just to give you an idea here are my stats currently

My top choice that I'm applying to is Cornell AEM, but I will also be applying to business school at Virginia, Georgetown and UNC.

HS record: not great at all, really average actually but I'm hoping my college record will offset this.

SATs: going to retake SAT and if my practice tests are any indication I should get around a 1400+ and a 750 or so on the writing.

College:

3.9 cum. GPA at a third tier state school in NC
ECs: president of pre-law club, VP of Blaw club

Internship at local BB PWM firm over freshman summer year for which I will get college credit

I realize that there are very few people on here that would have any real facts on this but to those that do would you say that the internship is a significant plus or hardly worth mentioning? What about my overall chances?

thanks in advance!

Edit: I will also be taking a few SAT II's; probably Math IIc and Biology.

Well since no one on here has any information I just decided to call the school myself as i had a few other questions to ask anyway.

The lady I talked to told me that it would be looked at favorably and would probably give me points towards my "fit" into the AEM major.

Surprisingly, also she said that you aren't required to send in SAT scores and when I told her I was planning on retaking the SAT she basically told me not to bother that my money would be wasted as far as AEM is concerned. I also asked whether or not one's current school played into the admissions process and she told me that it did not matter at all.
