<p>I'm about 70% through... but boy oh boy, this is intense! Between testing, recommendations, interviews, essays etc., it befuddles me how people can juggle 5, 6, 7 applications to these schools.</p>
<p>yeah, I'm like 50%-60% done... I'm working on my apps and essays right now while my friends are skiing in NH and going on cruises in the Carribeans. Oh well, hopefully this will pay off by March 10th!</p>
<p>They're more and more inconvenient the more I think about them. I only just gave some serious thought to Exeter's essay (or, should I say TWO essays) and realized that there's no way I'll be able to thoughtfully and comprehensively answer two essay questions "in the space provided." Exeter has turned out to be a bit of a troublesome effort the more and more I think about it. While my other schools email me to talk about their various programs, all Exeter emails me is reminders to send in financial aid forms.</p>
<p>Deerfield and Andover's apps are really coming along though; they seem to have actually written the essay questions with the applicants in mind ;-)</p>
<p>Tom the Cat: We haven't received any reminders to send in financial aid forms from Exeter. Although I better check with DS since maybe he received it in his email account.</p>

<p>Well, actually... my Exeter one is 90% done.
My Andover one, on the other hand, is like 60-70% done. So, I'm gettin' there!</p>
<p>I have all the energy in the world! I suppose it's tiring, but I WANT IN. I'm gonna give it 110% - happily!</p>

<p>PA-C: really? Maybe it's because I'm an international applicant, I don't know. It's just that I've been getting so much mail in my inbox from Deerfield and Andover about stuff that I talked about in my interviews - community service, language, science, math - so I'm consistently disappointed with mail from Exeter as it is always, as I said, borderline impertinent reminders and prompts to send in forms.</p>
<p>My Andover and Deerfield apps are fine though. I'm just excited to stick them in the mail and know that, having finished the process, I will have done all I could, and that's what matters. If I get in, great. If I don't get in, it just means that more qualified people will have, and I'm fine with that too.</p>
<p>I'm still way far from complete with the Exeter one... how can I even cram my 2 essays on that space they provided!?!?</p>
<p>By the way, I'm not so sure about this, but for boarding applicants to Andover, the deadline for everything is Feb 1? And I'm an international applicant, so as long as I dump the applications into the mailbox by Jan 15, it's OK?</p>

<p>Yeah I just checked with DS and he hasn't received anything about FA. Also though we haven't received anything else from any of the schools either- no clubs or stuff either. Hopefully that's not a bad sign?</p>

<p>PA-C, nah, I'm still following through with Exeter. Again, though, they're proving less straightforward than my other schools, even down to their essays. As glitters426 said, how can I possibly cram two well-written essays into "the space provided?" It's crazy. But it's what they want, so it's what they're going to get.</p>
<p>Yeah, I've gotten tons of stuff from Andover and Deerfield. PA-C, has he had his interviews yet? When I had mine the interviewers were writing like crazy and most of the stuff they send me via email is about stuff that I mentioned during the interviews.</p>
<p>I finished my Deerfield personal essay today, and I actually think it's alright :-)
I hope everyone else's essays are coming out well too. But seriously, come on, Exeter. I'm sure you're a geat school, but...</p>

<p>I HAVE had a hard time keeping both essays to such limited space, but oh well, I think it's been a great exercise for writing succinct pieces of work.</p>
<p>Yeah, I have gotten a couple of things from Andover as well TomTheCat, but none from Exeter, so I don't think it's a cause for concern.</p>

<p>He had his Exeter interview 3 weeks ago and he had his Andover interview the day before Christmas break so maybe Andover didn't have time yet to get him on the email list. His interviewer at Andover did write like crazy- she had a clipboard full of info he had shared with her at the end. Thanks for the info- I was getting a little worried but it sounds like it's just cuz he interviewed kinda late at Andover and Exeter just doesn't send a lot of emails I guess. He has received lots of standardized letters from Exeter from current students and parents which were informative and nice to read (as a parent anyway). Off to work on the fin aid forms!</p>

<p>Whoa 11 schools! That's a lot of essays and application fees! Also remember if you are applying for fin aid it's another 11 bucks to send the EFC to each school!</p>

either i finish it now and go away to do community service/skiing "family obligation" trips and return on the 9th, or I return on the 9th and STILL have time to send in my apps.</p>
