For example is an A- worth less than an A and an A+ is worth more? Generally do +s and -s matter in most schools? Also what does your school classify as an A? Mine's A- is 90%, A is 92% and A+ is 97%.

At my school, we don’t have A+ and an A- is worth less than an A (A- is a 3.7 and an A is a 4.0 for unweighted GPA). An A is 93% and above and an A- is 90%-92%.

Bumphhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

At my school, this is our grading scale:
A: 100-90
B: 89-80
C: 79-70
D: 69-60
F: 59-0

Additionally, we also have pluses and minuses. A 96% or higher is an A+, a 93%-95% is an A, and a 90%-92% is an A-. This continues on for the B’s, C’s, and D’s as well.

Our unweighted scale is out of a 4.0, while our weighted is out of a 6.0 or 7.0, I believe. I’m not sure which. :)

Non honors: A+ = 4.34
A = 4
A- = 3.67
B+ = 3.34
etc.
For honors and AP add .67 (move it up two)

89.5-92.4 = A-
92.5-96.4 = A
96.5+ = A+
Repeat for each letter.

In my school, the old system was that 7 points are added to AP classes (which are pretty hard in my school…), 5 points are added to honors classes, and 3 points are added to regents classes (i live in ny).

But starting next year (after I graduate :D), 5 points will be added to AP classes, 3 points added to honors classes, and 0 points added to regents level classes.

At my school
85-100 = A
78-84 =B
66-77=C
65-60=D
59 and below =F

My school decided to pick random letters.

E+ 97-100
E 94-96
E- 90-93
G+ 87-89

And I haven’t gotten lower than that, so.

A+= 97 and up, worth 4.33 in CP classes and 4.66 with honors/AP curve
A= 93-96, 4.0 CP and 4.33 with curve
A-= 90-92, 3.66 CP and same curve up deal.

So, basically, it’s impossible to get higher than a 4.66 where I go. I know some schools where kids have GPAs above 5… that gigantic curve must be nice.

100-90 = A
89-80 = B
79-70 = C
69-60 = D
59-0 = F
Grades are also round so for example if you have an 89.5 in a class it will be rounded to 90%. We dont have - and +'s.
.02 is added for honor classes and .04 for AP

Sent from my PG06100 using CC App

Guys, don’t worry about the curves being different, colleges don’t use weighted GPA, that’s only for class rank.

I don’t think my school does unweighted GPAs anywhere. My transcript is weighted at least.

100-90= a
89-80= b
79-71= c
70= d
69 and below= f

Wow. My school is weird! We do:
96-100= 4.0
95= 3.875
94= 3.75
and on and on, going down by .125 each time.
Honors gets +1 point and AP gets +2
Also, 93-100 is an A
92-85 is a B
84-77 is a C
76-69 is a D
below 69 is a F

Wow, some of these GPA scales make my school system’s grading seem like a joke, haha:
89.5-100 = A / 4.0 UW / if anything honors or above, then 5.0 W, nothing extra for IB or AP versus honors. ):
79.5-89.4 = B / 3.0 UW / 4.0 W
69.5-79.4 = C / 2.0 UW / 3.0 W
59.5-69.4 = D / 1.0 UW / 1.0 W
anything lower = E / 0 / 0

And no rankings! In the name of healthy development, equality, or something like that…

^ Wow! That’s a very generous weighting system for honors/AP/IB classes. Can I go to your school please?

A = 95-100 4.0
A- = 90-94 3.7
B+ = 87-89 3.3
B = 83-86 3.0
B- = 80-82 2.7
C+ = 77-79 2.3
C = 73-76 2.0
C- = 70-72 1.7
D = 65-69 1.3
F = <65 0

We don’t have any honors/AP bonus points. No weighted GPA. Our GPA is the unweighted GPA.

Our school doesn’t weight AP/IB grades (which sucks for us…). We don’t have Honors classes since most of our classes are very competitive already.

A = 92.5-100 = 4.00
A- = 89.5-92.49 = 3.67
B+ = 86.5-89.49 = 3.33
B = 82.5-86.49 = 3.00
B- = 79.5-82.49 = 2.67
C+ = 76.5-79.49 = 2.33
C = 72.5-76.49 = 2.00
C- = 69.5-72.49 = 1.67
D+ = 66.5-69.49 = 1.33
D = 62.5-66.49 = 1.00
D- = 59.5-62.49 = 0.67
F = <59.5 = 0
