Schools I'm applying for:

Rice, USC, Vanderbilt, UCLA, U Chicago, Northwestern, WashU, Emory, and a backup

ACT: 34
Unweighted GPA: 3.7
Top 10% of class
Taken mostly AP/Honor classes (1/2 - 3/4 of my schedule is usually AP/Honors)

A lot of extracurriculars(this is only some):
Varsity Football (11 & hopefully 12 too)
JV Soccer (9 and 10)
Club Soccer in summer (9-11)
Leader of praise team at my church (guitar/vocals), and senior leader at the Youth Group
National Honor Society (volunteering) 3 years
Hospital Volunteering for 2 years

I'm just worried about my GPA right now. I've also heard that my counselor at my high school is pretty bad and isn't very good at recommendations.

Basically, just wondering what everyone thinks my chances are at these schools. (Should I even bother applying?) And what recommendations you guys have for me to improve my chances.

Thanks for your time :)
