How are my chances at getting into ucsb?

I'm currently attending community college in CA. I'm a microbiology major and I have over 60 units. My gpa is about a 3.65. I have the absolutely required classes for admission done and I have most of the major prep finished but there's a few I'll be missing. But I just want to get out of community college as soon as possible. Is that going to hurt my chances? So I'll be applying in October, what do you think my chances are of getting in?

I don’t believe UCSB is an impacted UC. Unless your major, microbiology, is an impacted major, I believe you should have a very good chance to be admitted to UCSB. UCB, UCLA and to some extent, UCSD, are impacted UC’s. This means that space is very limited and it is highly competitive (a lot more applicants than slots available) to get admitted to these UC’s. You would probably need at least a 3.7+ gpa for impacted UC’s.

You might be too late but, you should know about TAG - it is the smoothest way to transfer from a CC to UCSB.

Not too late for TAG - you have until 9/30. http://admissions.sa.ucsb.edu/docs/default-source/PDFs/ucsb-fall-2015-tag-criteria.pdf?sfvrsn=4</a></p>
