What do you think my chances are?

Low reach because your SAT isn’t exactly ivy material, but then again Cornell is the least selective out of the league. Your EC’s are great and hopefully they will compensate for the SAT. Btw, where did you hear that Cornell doesn’t care about writing? Just curious  Best of luck

They told us that when I went on a tour there. They said that their own research shows that the writing score doesn’t matter, basically. You don’t think the legacy will up my chances, although I know you’re not supposed to overplay the legacy. Thanks for your help!!!

I’d say like 50% chance because you’re in-state and applying to ILR with legacy, but I don’t really see how your ECs are a fit for that school.

I’d say 51%, going just over the mark because of the extra legacy points that ivies like to add in. Best of luck!

Correct me if I’m wrong, but shouldn’t you have found out by now?

^Pretty sure that decisions come out tomorrow (well, it’s past 12, so today), at 5pm. And OP - I agree with everyone else, your SAT is a little low, but extensive ECs and legacy can make up for it. Can’t wait to hear your decision. I’m applying RD myself.
