----- There's more but this is just a taste --- let me know....

You would have a chance (maybe Cornell, Columbia, Brown...), but I'd tend to look outside of the Ivy box. How about schools like NYU, Vanderbilt, Emory, or even something like Duke?

HAHAHA are you serious? A shoo in at HARVARD?!?! First of all those don't exist, and if they did they wouldn't have a 700 in Math and a 680 in Verbal! I mean Matty does have a strong candidacy, i'm not saying he's proposterous to think he has a chance at Harvard, but to say he is a shoo in is completely ridiculous. He's an average candidate and has a possibility but I really hope you're being sarcastic about a shoo in.

oh my.... nothing is concrete in the admissions policy. no matter how much and what people say. just cause u have these grades and ec's doesnt mean your in, and it doesnt mean your out. i know u prolly wont respond to this because its not what you want to hear... just do your best. and i dont know where i read it, but remember its the norm to be reject fromthe ivies and acceptance should be considered a gift.

hmm... i agree, but then i dont regard them as real posts, i just see them for the HUMOR factor. these people have no real interest in anything, they have just done them because they look good on a resume and because they think thats what everyone wants from them. its all kinda bull... get a life

i beg to differ, anyone who can get into iit can easily get into any of the top us schools, their admission process is insane, instead of apps, you do problem sets etc...

agreed crumflake... i reccomend you take a look at the one of these that a FRESHMAN in highschool made: High School Freshmen! by asiancracker ... its a good time.

first of all my school doesn't do it on a 4.0 scale

second of all, i'm highly offended by ur assumptions that i do these activities just so they look good on a resume..... u completely undermine my passion and the fulfillment i receive from my activities --- ranging from spanish to vocals to volleyball to anything, if i wanted to write something down so badly, i'd write it down and not worry about being a member ---- how dare you undermine my talents -- if u find this humorous, then don't read them --- how rude...

I would just like to say that Chances posts are useless. Even more useless than that polo my mom bought me for Christmas. They either inflate your head or **** you off.

That being said, you should probably boost ur test scores if you want a real chance at HYPSM. With boosted test scores I'd say you'd have a better-than-average shot at Penn/Columbia. However without boosted test scores, you're looking at Cornell, NYU.

And actually since you're looking at directing and drama, why are you looking at ivies? NYU and USC are 1,2 for directing. You should get in with those stats.

I must agree with SriLankanGangsta, how dooooooooooo you get a 98.5 avg? and then a low SAT score? doesn't add up you get what i am saying?
something is wrong here! either you had SARS or some bizzare sickness on the day of SAT or ... i am afraid you have got something they call "grade inflation"
although a 780 in Ic is impressive, i would have recommend that you take the SAT I again and score over 750 in math, that'll reinforce the fact that you are a strong candidate. good luck with the randomness ahead during admissions, your starts will be the avg at the ivy applicant pools, anything can happen!

ok people, stop the condescending comments, MattyB has good stats and a 2150 is not low. Sometimes people on this site bring down others when they themselves have no right to do so

Apply to all of them MattyB and definitely look into NYU

Sure go for it. Just don't get down on yourself if you don't get into HYPS. Can't give you a better analysis without knowing personality, location, race.

And again, all a Chances thread can do for you is **** you off or inflate your head. Stop wasting your time.
