How are my chances?

I'm a junior right now and I want to know my chances at Princeton. I want to study Mathematics. Also, I will be applying to Ivy Leagues, so let me know what you think about my chances there.

Volunteering: I co-founded a community service organization that will have created about 500 volunteer hours for youth in my city by the time I apply to colleges. It's an organization that brings free jazz music to people who cannot enjoy it otherwise. I also volunteered with this organization. (Major Leadership Position, Founder and Organizer) (11 12)

I volunteered as a tutor in my school's tutoring area daily. (180 hours) (11 12) I'll probably do this next year also.

Research: I participated in an 8-week online math research camp called Camp Euclid. I investigated unsolved problems in topology, number theory, and higher dimensional geometry. (11)

I am about to begin an independent math research project with a University of Arizona professor as my mentor. I do not know the topic of research yet, but I presume that by college app time I will have a research paper to send to colleges. (11 12)

I will probably be one of the only applicants from my school with high-school research experience.

Music: I have played in an extra-curricular award winning community jazz band since my freshman year. (Section Leader) (9 10 11 12)

If I left anything out, let me know. I may have blanked on some crucial part of the app.

So, do I have a chance?

This is really great. Nice job! I can’t even believe that you’re asking if you have a chance, because the answer is obviously YES: a huge one. Admissions are always tricky to predict, but I’d have my money on you getting in easily.
I’d also really like to complement your EC’s. I love that you are so extremely involved and yet manage to clearly demonstrate two areas of interest (math and music) without being all over the place like many candidates. Very nice. And best of luck in the admissions process.

You sound awesome, Mathmuser! I don’t know anything about chances but I think you’d get along well with my math/music/physics/chess/writing son. If I were Princeton, I’d take you!

Okay so right now you seem very well qualified. But just remember that colleges, especially Princeton and the ivies, look for extremely well-rounded students. They expect us to be great in everything not just a few subjects. In my opinion the reading portion on the SAT may hurt you slightly, but hopefully you received a grade in the high 90s in AP English Language which will make up for it.
Speaking from experience(I was recently accepted into the class of 2015) you need to build on more categories besides math and music(which you are focused on). For example also focus on the environment, and helping minorities.

Oh and PM me if you have any further questions, it’s not a problem.
