How are my chances?

<p>I’m a high school senior now and UC Davis is my top school. I was just curious about my chances.</p>

<p>GPA Unweighted: 3.71
GPA Weighted (Uncapped): 4.14
GPA Weighted (Capped): 4.00</p>

<p>I’ve taken:
AP Biology - 4
AP Chemistry - 3
AP Language & Composition - 3</p>

<p>This year I will be taking:
AP Environmental Science
AP Physics
AP Statistics
AP Literature</p>

<p>I’ve also taken:
Honors Biology
Honors Chemistry
Honors Physics
Honors English</p>

<p>My SAT score currently is an 1860 although I am retaking it with a goal of at least 2000. I scored a 720 in math, 620 in reading, and 520 in writing, so it’s mainly just my writing that’s bringing my score down.</p>

<p>I also have 40+ community service hours after taking a service trip to China, and helping the local animal shelter. Also despite being American, I live overseas so I go to an international school. </p>

<p>What are my chances?</p>

<p>edit: also I plan on majoring in civil engineering with a focus towards either transportation or environmental engineering.</p>

<p>I agree. You should aim for a higher SAT score.</p>

<p>Almost there, get your test scores up. Though remember that engineering is harder to get into than other majors.</p>

<p>I had a slightly higher unweighted GPA but I say yes. I had similar stats a you and got in davis, santa barbara, etc, just not berkeley.</p>
