How are my chances?

<p>I applied pretty late in the application process, I think in mid February to U.Park (and York as a secondary). They said they've come to a decision, but I haven't received it in the mail. I'm out of state (Florida), and applying engineering</p>

<p>SAT Total: 1440/2100
ACT: 30
SAT Verbal: 660
SAT Math: 780
SAT Writing: 660
SAT II: Math II: 690, Lit: 680, Spanish: 490 (i had a bad testing experience)
AP/IB taken/scores: Compsci A: 4, Compsci AB: 4, Geo: 3, taking chem, lit, and calc ab
GPA: ~3.4...but I've had a 3.8+ the past 2 years
School doesn't rank</p>

<p>ECs: 3 Varsity sports, total of 6 letters, several clubs, head of yearbook, in school work experience</p>

<p>They came to a very quick decision, but it hasn't come in the mail yet...should I give up hope?</p>

<p>penn state has officially closed acceptance to university park. they already have more than a 12% increase of incoming students compared to last year (according to the university's paper). i wouldnt get my hopes up because they may just be screwing everyone out of admission regardless of your stats</p>
